Bringing reality to podcasting.
Highlight: “When our reality shows came to an end, people still wanted us. And we knew we could bring our reality show in the podcast world. You're not visually watching us, but really you're hearing us. And we're doing exactly what we did on reality television, telling you how imperfect we are. We're moms, we're human beings just trying our best in life. So we're honest about the trial and errors. And I felt like that's exactly what we showed everyone on the reality shows, and we just brought that to podcasting.” - Brie Garcia
Earn it.
Highlight: “There were times I thought to myself, 'Oh, I'm on two hit reality TV shows. I am bringing people to these wrestling shows.' There's a large female demographic that has come to tune in, and there was middle-card guys making way more money than me, and I was a bigger name, way bigger. But at the time, it was like ‘She should just be grateful for what we've given her.’ No, I actually earned it.”- Brie Garcia
Be authentically you.
Highlight: “Go with your gut and just be authentically you. I feel like social media at times can make us feel that we're not doing it right. Or, maybe me as a person isn't what's going to make change or be noticed, but it will be. when you're authentically you, you're always going to win. And when you're faking it, or you're trying to be someone you're not, you will always fail…. That's what I want everyone to know. Authentically you always wins. Don't be fooled by social media and the keeping up because no one can keep up.” - Brie Garcia
We’re all humans.
Highlight: “I feel like there's always been a hard thing for women supporting women. I finally feel, in the last five years, we've seen more of it. But I feel like sometimes it's us knocking each other down, which is the hardest part. I feel like that's been the same song and dance. And a man takes off his shirt and celebrates like that, It's cool. When people are like, ‘What more do they want?’ Those are the things we want. When stuff like that happens, it's that equal thought of, we're not men and women, we're all humans doing the same thing.” - Brie Garcia
