“Just say yes,” Meg Beaudet from Intuit SMB MediaLabs

Meet Meg Beaudet. As the Head of Sales and Business Development at Intuit SMB MediaLabs, Meg leads the strategic growth of Intuit’s B2B commerce media network, enabling enterprise brands and agencies to reach the small business community with precision and scale. Her expertise in adtech helps her to leverage data-driven insights that help redefine B2B marketing and drive measurable engagement with global brand partners.  With over 20 years of experience, she has a proven track record of building high-impact brand partnerships at some of the world's most influential platforms.   

Meg joined Jocelyn Hudak, Senior Director, Content and Digital Marketing, at SiriusXM Media in our Pass the Mic booth at CES. During their time together, the two discussed how taking a chance on yourself can make all the difference in your career.

Just do it.

Highlight: “No one knows everything, and I think that's so important to keep in mind… My college roommate's dad sat us down at graduation and said, ‘Girls, every day I go to work and I pretend to be a lawyer.’ And this is a guy who was a very successful lawyer. And I laughed when I finally understood what he meant years later… Just go and do it. The confidence piece is really important. Just jump. Just do things. Just say yes.” - Meg Beaudet

Put yourself out there.

Highlight: “That's actually how I ended up finding a job after a long period of unemployment—by just going out on a limb and talking to people that I had a small connection with. You have to be vulnerable and put yourself out there.” - Meg Beaudet

Confidence is a game changer. 

Highlight: “I think that confidence, once you find it and tap into it, is so powerful. People say yes to you. People ask you to do things. If you're confident, it's such a game changer.” - Meg Beaudet

Don’t be afraid to fail.

Highlight: “Know that it's okay to fail. I know that's a popular topic, but it is true. There is not a straight path to success. There are bumps in the road. You have ups and downs. And you learn so much in those moments that are hard… Don't be afraid. Just do it.” - Meg Beaudet
