“Bring your whole self to work,” Chauncey Wesley from IPG Mediabrands

Meet Chauncey Wesley, EVP, Managing Director, Activation, at IPG Mediabrands. Chauncey’s two decades of experience help her manage integrated investment for Fortune 500 brands. She specializes in national video negotiations and activation, and she develops and executes deals that fuel positive marketing and business outcomes. Chauncey holds inclusivity close to her heart while driving strategic value and navigating clients through the ever-changing media ecosystem. When she’s not leading change in the workplace, Chauncey spends time traveling the world with her husband and son.

Don’t be afraid to reach out.

I have done that throughout my career and have found the guidance, advice, and heads up that I've gotten in those moments has been truly career impacting.” - Chauncey Wesley

Highlight: “The one-on-one is the time that the team can actually bounce things off of you. And if you don't make the time, then it just festers and sits with someone. And you could ultimately end up losing someone because they're frustrated and haven't been able to solve the problem.” - Chauncey Wesley

Work together to create a solution.

Highlight: “My style is more about listening and making sure I am understanding what people's problems, issues, and concerns are, and addressing them as they come up. I’m always making sure that my team knows that they have an ear that will listen to them; that when they speak, it is justified and understood, and there's empathy. And that while we may not have the answers right away, we will work to get to a solution as fast and wholly as possible.” - Chauncey Wesley

Stay dedicated, determined, and dependable.

Highlight: “You want your leader to be someone who is dedicated to you, dedicated to the cause. Dependable—someone that you can call on at all hours of the night if need be, knowing that they are there for you and there to help you.
