With 2024 in the books, we’re taking a look back at our biggest wins of the year and how they can (and should) directly impact your campaigns in 2025 and beyond.

Delivering Content (and Ads) to More Listeners

We went into 2024 with the largest ad-supported audience in audio, and we ended the year the same way and up 7%. That’s right, we can no longer say we reach 150M listeners through our platforms and networks—because we’re up to 160M. And with 87% of our audience listening with ads, you can now reach even more consumers with us.

So, how did we do it? Let’s get into it.

Major Deals with Major Talent

If you want to reach podcast listeners (aka 135M people over the age of 12), you’ll find nearly half of them on the SiriusXM Podcast Network. We have more shows in the top 50 than any of our competitors (like iHeart, Wondery, and Spotify). And this year, we increased our lead by inking some big deals with talent that is, well, a big deal.

  • SmartLess & SmartLess Media – We kicked the year off last January by bringing the talents and appeal of Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes to our slate with SmartLess.

  • The Optimist Project – We went into summer with a new collaboration with television star Yara Shahidi for a new podcast exploring hope.

  • Call Her Daddy & the Unwell Network – Alex Cooper delivered the Daddy Gang, along with her wildly popular podcast and growing network, to our slate in August.

  • Rotten Mango & The Moral of the StoryStephanie Soo helped us close out an amazing year for our network by bringing her hit podcast and unique style to our slate.

We announced even more good news to our SiriusXM subscribers and the advertisers who want to reach them with new content and extended deals. 

  • Ashley Flowers – The Queen of True Crime herself launched a new show on SiriusXM called Crime Junkie AF, expanding her relationship with us while giving her ravenous fanbase more content to devour.

  • Chris “Mad Dog” Russo – The sports radio legend and SiriusXM star signed on for three more years of his popular show Mad Dog Unleashed on the Mad Dog Sports Radio channel.

  • Mel Robbins – The author, speaker, podcast host, and self-help icon not only renewed her podcast on our network, but she also agreed to launch a new weekly show on SiriusXM.

Groundbreaking Innovation

We’ve been on the cutting edge of audio innovation for 25 years—that’s how long ago we launched our first satellite into space to change the face of radio and when Pandora put curated, personalized streaming audio on the map. And year after year, we’re finding more ways to enhance the listening experience for audiences and the advertising experience for brands.

  • Next-gen app experience and design – The SiriusXM app got a major upgrade, bringing loyal subscribers closer to the content they love while attracting new ones. The redesigned interface provides personalized curation, improved search, and much more.

  • Tesla partnership with expanded in-dash integration – The EV giant went big on in-vehicle entertainment with a bespoke streaming-enabled SiriusXM integration.

  • Pandora became the first audio publisher to adopt UID2 – When it comes to balancing data-driven advertising with increasing data-privacy concerns, privacy-forward is the name of the game… and we’re ahead. UID2 is just one way we’re innovating to protect consumer data while fostering meaningful connections for brands.

More Listening Options for Audiences

Remember that jump in listeners? That happened because our platforms, networks, and shows are everywhere they want to tune in, on their terms. Whether they’re listening to SiriusXM in the car (or anywhere else), jamming to Pandora and SoundCloud throughout the day, or switching over to a podcast on their preferred app (Apple, Spotify, iHeart, YouTube, you name it), we’re there with the content they want. Last year, we took accessibility even further.

  • SiriusXM Podcasts+ – In August, we launched a new subscription through Apple Podcasts, featuring some of the most popular shows on the SiriusXM Podcast Network.

  • SiriusXM Free Access – There’s a new ad-support tier for SiriusXM fans on the horizon. Soon, listeners can opt to tune in for free, bringing the service to more consumers with the support of advertisers.
